Mystic is an incredibly thoughtful, intuitive, and biddable dog. She has proven herself across venues, but more importantly, she is the kind of dog I can trust anywhere. She can cruise around the show ring, be a loving and sweet therapy dog, eagerly try a variety of sports, and can still come home and simply be an incredibly easy dog to live with.

In Risk, I found many of those same qualities, with extra “go” to boot. Risk is a confident, environmentally sound, and driven dog with an impressive ability to turn it on when there is a job to do and settle when there isn’t. He is naturally neutral, highly handler-oriented, and has exceptional food and toy drive. His people describe him as serious about his work but easy to live with, with natural impulse control and a wonderful off switch.

Both Mystic and Risk are truly versatile dogs. Between them are accomplishments in conformation, rally, disc, agility, herding, barn hunt, dock diving, therapy work, and more.

Both dogs have been health tested beyond recommendations, and structurally I feel the two complement one another nicely. With this pairing, I am hoping for confident, clear-headed, and biddable puppies with excellent work ethic, natural handler focus, and the versatility to succeed across a variety of venues. I hope for puppies with plenty of drive when there is a job to do, while retaining the thoughtful temperaments and wonderful off switches that make both Mystic and Risk such enjoyable dogs to live with. Most importantly, I hope to produce moderate, functional Border Collies who can be competitive partners in performance and/or conformation while also being excellent companions for their people.
